I seen a poll on IG that said “Is a private relationship the best way to go about things?” 78% of people voted yes while 22% voted no. In my opinion no I don’t believe a private or “secret relationship” is the way to go about things. Any person is going to talk about what their most proud of. When you get a new car you stop by all your friends house and you go out for the next couple of weekends! Why? BECAUSE YOUR EXCITED ABOUT YOUR NEW CAR, whether it was a gift or you had to work hard for it. I know there will be those really humble people who will be reading this and say I don’t go out of my way to boast or show off what I got, Its best to keep everything private and to yourself. But I bet you still get happy when something exciting happens in your life and hope someone asks or really do want to share the news deep down. If you are in a relationship there should be a purpose & If there is you should be proud of it. Yes, I believe there are certain things that should be kept between the two of you however people witnessing the blessings you all receive and watching your journey shouldn’t have a negative impact on your relationship. I also believe that if you can’t talk about your significant other or “show them off” in a certain setting then you need to rethink your situation or your surroundings. A relationship should never be a hindrance, i’m not saying you won’t have problems that may cause set backs but you should never feel like you have to hide from what makes you happy(outside of your relationship as well as within). You should be proud of who your with, that should be your companion, your best friend, your right hand man lol. When your with your best friend or having a conversation with your best friend there’s an understanding that it will always stay between the two of you... But when you and your best friend go out or are having a good time you show off those happy and proud moments because it feels good & makes other people happy as well!! I believe that any intimate relationship you have is ultimately the same as a friendship just on a deeper level. With anything in life you have to learn when its okay to share and when it’s best to stay quiet and keep things to yourself, relationships are no different! Bree. 11x21x17💕
